Massive Multiresidue Screen! - 680+
In 2003, we founded a laboratory in the United Kingdom, to support the testing of fresh produce for import and sale within the EU and United Kingdom. This lab became the first lab in the UK to offer a standard 5 day turnaround.
The testing of fresh produce for compliance with the strict EU MRLs set the standard for testing internationally at the time. With increased screens, covering a broad range of pesticides, herbicides and fungicides, QAS rapidly become one of the leading labs in the UK for pesticide testing.
Not only does that lab continue to be one of the leading laboratories in the United Kingdom for pesticide residue testing, but that same vast level of experience has been used to expand the QAS standard multiresidue test offering to a staggering 680+ residues in a single screen.
Single Residue Testing
Despite the vast coverage of the 680+ multiresidue screen, there will always be pesticides that will not work in current screening methods. Glyphosate, Glufosinate, Fosetyl Aluminium, Chlormequat and Paraquat are good examples. QAS has the know how and experience to offer single analyte testing of your produce to meet the strict international MRLs set for these analytes.
Heavy Metals
Some plants will naturally accumulate heavy metals as they grow, this can lead to elevated levels of heavy metals in the finished product. While this is less common in most fresh produce there have been instances where these levels have been found above the acceptable limits. QAS uses state of the art mass spectrometry to detect and quantify these elements in fresh produce.
